How to Reach the Spitzkoppe Mountain Camp Location

Most travelers drive to our camp using standard self-drive vehicles or 4×4 rentals. For example, here are the primary driving routes:

• From Windhoek or Usakos: Take the B2 highway heading west toward Swakopmund. Turn right onto the D1918 gravel road roughly 25 km past Usakos. Follow the signage toward Spitzkoppe.
• From Swakopmund & Walvis Bay: Travel east along the B2 highway toward Usakos. Turn left onto the D1918 road and follow the signs directly into the valley.
• From Henties Bay: Drive east on the D1918 gravel road. Turn left onto the D3716 road, which leads directly to the mountain area.

However, gravel roads can vary depending on weather conditions. As a result, we recommend checking your tire pressure before driving on unpaved gravel tracks. In addition, always carry extra drinking water for your journey across the Namib desert.
